I hate to admit how much it bothers me when I see and hear people speak about things they either, knowingly misrepresent or ignorantly misrepresent as the truth. I don’t know why I am always surprised but I am. It is to be expected from the world so it shouldn’t catch me off guard. I guess what bothers me the most is seeing people I consider mature Christians and even Christian leadership nationwide say, behave and support things that are opposed to what we know God’s word says. It is very disturbing to me. I wrestle with this daily as of late. I am aware It bothers me much more than it should for some reason.
One of my devotions today helped me with this struggle saying this, “Your awareness of your constant need for Jesus is your greatest strength. Your inadequacies present you with a continual choice- deep dependence on Jesus or despair! The emptiness you feel within will be filled either with problems or with the presence of Jesus. Make Jesus central in your mind by praying continually throughout your day.”
- These words are very helpful to me today. I Thessalonians 5:17 simply says, “Pray continually.” “When your mind falls back into worry or despair, immediately shift it back over to Jesus and praying in His name.” I’m praying for a day of constant prayer over these things I fret over. I hope this helps someone else dealing with these issues today.
“Up to this time you have not asked a single thing in my Name (as presenting all that I am); but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy may be full and complete. – John 16:24
Just Jesus,
