I’m Feeling Wobbly

IMG_0276 (1).jpg

I love it when I find that someone else has used a fun word I often use like, ‘wobbly.’  My devotion, this morning, started out this way, “Trust Jesus and refuse to worry, for He is your strength and song. Are you feeling wobbly this morning…?” Why, yes, I am!

I actually tweaked my back on Wednesday and spent most of Thursday alternating between rolling on the floor in a ball and laying flat on a heating pad. When I got up this morning I felt wobbly! We can also feel wobbly in our spirit. This happens when we begin to worry about the things that are coming in the days ahead, or also the things that happened in the past that we can’t change. I find it difficult not to worry about things in the future and the regrets of the past. I just went to the doctor and found out I have a few health issues that are a little worrisome.  However, things can always be worse. I know God is in control and will give me all I need to deal with each challenge thrown my way.

If you are feeling wobbly this morning, I hope you will lean on the strong arm of Christ. He won’t let you tip over. I hope you will join me in remembering that, as we take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, we break down the massive mountain looming in our sightline (2 Corinthians 10:5) … and everything that makes us feel wobbly when we look ahead. So, now that I am armed for battle from God’s word, I am going to eat a healthy breakfast, go for a walk, do a few things on the top of my ‘to do’ list, spend some time with my husband, and enjoy this beautiful day.  Join me!

“The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.” – Exodus 15:2

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promises is faithful.” –Hebrews 10:23

Just Jesus,

Sheri
