The Battle is the Lord’s


I know I am not alone in the reality of the very real war Satan wages against us on a regular basis. I’ve always been afflicted by strong dreams that wake me at 3:00 am and shake me to my very core. Many times it is Saturday night, and tonight is no exception…these dreams actually seem as if they just happened. Horrible imagery, past hurts are dredged up, painful memories and the worries about the future… I instantly start quoting scripture that I know is truth over my life and the life of my family. Maybe you are up in these wee hours fighting the good fight against our enemy. Jesus is always present, giving you the strength and weapons to fight the battle.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12).

Read these verses…“ I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches” (Psalm 63:6). “I meditate on all Your works and consider all your mighty deeds” (Ps 77:12). “I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all Your works and consider what your hands have done” (Ps 143:5). Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things” (Phil 4:8). “Take every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Cor. 10:5). “He will keep you in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee” (Isa 26:3).

Remember this with me this morning… the battle is not ours but the Lord’s!  (2 Chronicles 20:15)

  1. Thank you! This was from God. I’m up from a bad dream & worry is setting in. I will meditate on the scripture given here & go back to sleep. I love you sis.
