HOPE

We all have a multitude of needs but I think hope is the heartbeat that keeps us moving forward.  Know this,  “Christ in you is the hope of glory”(Colossians 1:27).  Sometimes I feel like I’m, metaphorically, slugged in the face every day from the hate mongers of this evil world.  It seems so many people have lost their collective minds!  God’s word tells us to not lose heart, so let’s not lose heart together.

If you are at a point of discouragement by all the assault from the world, remember the words of Jesus.  “In this world, you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world”  (John 16:33).  Join me in not being overcome by evil but instead overcoming evil by good” (Romans12). “God is good; His love endures forever” (Psalm 136).

So turn off the news.  Take your coffee and go outside because the rain has stopped, the sun is shining and the birds are singing.  “Happy is he whose hope is in the Lord” (Psalm 146:5).
